We are in the middle of winter. My kids have been tobogganing and building snowmen and forts, and although we are getting a mild snap so they probably won’t last, it is definitely winter. To keep my kids warm, I made them flannel pillowcases.
The boys were pretty happy that I found some Star Wars fabric for theirs.

And I found this fun print for the girls.
It is a quick and easy project, especially since they have no piping or trim. I am debating embroidering their names on them, but I haven’t done it yet. I think including cutting, I could make one in under twenty minutes. I might be teaching a beginner sewing class, and if I do, this would be the first project.
Hopefully they keep the kids so warm that they drift right off to sleep.

I love making pillowcases for the grandchildren – last year I made them all one when they came for summer vacation.
