Here is one final project for May – a batch of market bags. In Korea, like most other places in the world, you pay for bags at the grocery store. Sure, it’s only five cents, but these look a lot nicer. The hard part is remembering to take them with me when I go shopping.
This pattern is my new favourite bag pattern. It has a flat bottom, but only one seam. There is no fiddling with corners, just a seam on the side, hem the top and put on handles. If I am very energetic, I will make a tutorial for it. The bags could easily be dressed up with pockets, but these are just plain old sacks to carry groceries.
