Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall …

G2 is spunky, spirited, energetic, busy and full of life, unlike G1 who is quiet, studious, thoughtful and attentive.  Her Granny describes her as “feisty”, and that is probably the perfect word.  As a result, she has fallen and hurt herself many times.  She has been to the doctor many times.  But last Friday was the worst.  Just as we were getting ready go out, she fell face first onto the floor.  Luckily it was the wood floor and not the ceramic tile floor.  We rushed to the hospital and were directed to a dentist.

X-rays showed that there was no bone damage, but he was not able to save her front two teeth.  Her permanent teeth look okay, so she just lost her baby teeth a few years prematurely.  It’s not as bad as it could have been, but it was a pretty traumatic first dentist visit.  They did not have the capability of putting her out, so she was basically pinned down by mom, dad, dentist and four assistants.

Here’s her new look

It hasn’t slowed her down.

  1. I have an almost 4 yr old grandson who looks halfway like that. He fell headfirst into a wall unit and knocked out one tooth and gave himself a concussion. Another niece’s little girl looked just like this for years because she knocked out a tooth and had to have the other one pulled because of infection. What is it with this family and toothless toddlers!!! I”m so sorry she was hurt, but glad it hasn’t dampened her spirit.
