Pojagi Table Topper

This is my first completed project done in the pojagi by machine technique.  It is made with Batiks, which are perfect for this technique, since it is reversible.  This is a table topper made out of four 12-inch blocks.

This is nice enough, but the real magic of pojagi happens when the light is able to shine through it.  It is like stained glass – a whole new kind of stained glass quilting.

Now that I have perfected the technique, my mind is racing at 100 mph full of project ideas.  Hopefully I can keep up.

  1. That is so pretty! I love to hold regular old quilt tops up to the light even though they’re not reversible ;). I love your colors and fabrics & can’t wait to see what else you do with this technique. Thank you for linking up!
